- OVER DRIVE is the second single in which a picture of the band members is not used for any of the single’s front covers. Instead, the covers contain artwork of a girl in a black shirt. It is possible that this girl may represent Aimi or a combination of all three band members, judging by the girl’s physical appearance. Stereopony’s sixth single Hanbunko was the first to have this trait.
- “OVER DRIVE” was used for the opening theme for the Japanese drama Pro Golfer Hana. This is Stereopony’s first song that is used as the opening theme for a drama and is Stereopony’s first drama tie-in overall.
- “OVER DRIVE” peaked at number twenty-eight on the Oricon Charts.
- OVER DRIVE is the first Stereopony CD to be marked under Sony Records. The previous CD releases were marked under gr8! records. Both labels are sub-labels to Sony Music Records.
