Stereopony has returned for their third appearance in the United States to perform and greet fans at Anime Boston. Stereopony made several appearances throughout the convention including:

The Opening Ceremonies
Aa Q&A session called “An Hour With Stereopony”
Two autograph sessions
A photo session
The closing ceremonies
And of course their concert, which was at 11:00pm local time on Saturday April 23.

Very Good Days! had the opportunity to give the last interview at the entire convention with the band on Sunday April 24th, given shortly before the closing ceremonies.

	First, welcome back to the United States. This is your third time back, and second anime convention. What are your thoughts on yesterday’s performance? まずは、アメリカへようこそ！３度目のアメリカで、アニメ・コンベンションは２回目ですね。昨日のライブはどうでしたか？
	It was very exciting! すごい興奮しました。
	What is it like performing in America, and how is a live here different than in Japan? アメリカでのライブはどうですか？日本でやるのと比べて、何か違いますか？
	Though in Japan there is a lot of excitement, in America, the fans also have a lot more excitement, but their reactions and gestures are more pronounced than that in Japan. For example, a small “yay” in Japan would be a great “YAY!” in America accompanied with lots of hand gestures and signals. 日本でもすごく盛り上がるんですけど、こっちの方がもっと激しくて、リアクションがものすごいですね。日本では軽く「いぇ〜ぃ」て言うんだけど、アメリカの場合は、ジェスチャーも大きくて、声を張って「イエイ!!!」て言うんですよね。
	You are gaining a significant following here in the United States. I’ve met fans who have travelled across the country to be here. However the market for Japanese music is still quite small in America. Do you think Stereopony can be one of the first bands to open up Japanese music to mainstream America? ステレオポ二ーも少しずつアメリカで人気が上がってきていますよ。遠くの州から遥々、ライブを観るためにやって来たファンもいます。でも、J-ROCKはまだまだアメリカ人には知られていません。日本のミュージックシーンを代表して、アメリカでJ-ROCKを広めるパイオニアになりたいと思いますか？
	If we are able to accomplish this, I would be very happy, but if we cannot do so, we will still continue to do our best. なれたら、うれしいですね。でも、そうならなくても、頑張るだけですね。
	Your latest single Chiisana Mahou had the B-side “It’s a Wild World”, your first song sung completely in English. Why did you choose to write a song in English, and will we be seeing more songs in English? 最新シングル「小さな魔法」のB面は「Its a Wild World」ですが、これは英語の歌ですよね。どうして英語の曲にしたんですか？もっと英語の曲を作ってみたいと思いますか？
	Last year, when we played in Animenext in NJ, with communicating with fans and signing, there were many fans who try to speak to us in Japanese in order to communicate their feelings to them. Even though it was just to say “thank you” or “that was such a great show” or “that was amazing!”, we were just so happy that our fans spoke these little things to us in Japanese. So in return, we all thought to try and speak english for our fans. We all thought to ourselves, “we really want to do this!” and even though we are not very good at English, we still wanted to try and write a song that could still communicate across to our English speaking fans. 去年のアニメネクストの時に、ファンの方たちにサインをしたりして、直接話したんですけど、たくさんのファンの人たちが日本語で話しかけてくれたんですよ。「ありがとうございます」とか、「昨日のライブはすごかった」とか、「最高！」とかそんな言葉だったんですけど、それでも日本語を話してくれたのがすごくうれしくて。自分たちも「こんなふうに行きたいよね」って、英語は下手くそなんだけど、英語を使ってる人たちにも言いたいことが伝わるだろうと思って、曲を作ってみました。
	Beyond America, our website has fans begging you to visit their countries, for example, we have members in Portugal, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the Netherlands. Were you aware that your music has traveled across the world, and what is the likelihood that Stereopony will go on a world tour? アメリカだけでなく、私たちのサイトには、ステポを待ち望んでいるたくさんの国々からファンが集まってきています。ポルトガル、マレーシア、オーストラリア、それからオランダも。ステポの音楽が、世界中で楽しまれているって知ってましたか？ワールドツアーとか、やってくれたりしますか？
	Ah! We would love to go on a world tour! That is something that we hope our manager will arrange for us one day. ああ、ワールドツアーしたいです！マネージャーが決めることですけど、いつかできるといいですね。
	Do you enjoy touring and performing live? What aspects of being in a band do you each like the most? ツアーとライブコンサートは楽しいですか？バンドで何をやっている時が一番楽しいですか？
	We definitely prefer performing live better. 絶対、ライブをやってる時が一番楽しいですね。
	How do you prepare for a live show and for going on tour. Is it hard to leave Okinawa? ツアーやライブの前には、どんな準備をしますか？沖縄を離れるのはさびしいですか？
	With our hectic schedule, its actually a nice luxury to go back home to Okinawa, because that means that we have time to relax and escape. We rarely go back there because of our hectic schedule, and with the way Okinawan people are, laid back and relaxed, its best to go there when we finished doing a big tour or project so we can properly relax and take our time. いつも忙しいので、沖縄の家に帰るのはすごく贅沢な感じですね。リラックスできて、逃げちゃえるから。めったに帰れないんですけど、大きな仕事とかプロジェクトが終わったあと、自分の時間が取れた時に、沖縄流にのんびりゆったりできたら最高ですね。
	You gave a great performance last night as well as last year at Animenext in New Jersey last year. Is there a possibility of getting a DVD release of either concert, and are there any album or single releases that we can expect in the future such as “thank you” and “shooting star”? 去年のニュージャージーでやったアニメネクストの時もすごかったですけど、昨夜のライブもすごかったですね。この時のライブ演奏のDVDをリリースする予定はありますか？あと、“thank you” とか “shooting star” みたいな新しいアルバムとかシングルが出る予定はありますか？
	We hope to, yea… 出せるといいですねぇ。 We do look forward to going back to the studio and making more songs. Its been a while since we were back in the studio, with the tour and all, but all of us are very excited to record new songs. スタジオに帰って、もっとたくさんの楽曲を作りたいです。ツアーとかがあったので、ずいぶんスタジオに戻ってないんですけど、新曲を作るのは大好きなので。
	How is Stereopony grown from when you started as the four piece band Mixbox? MIXBOX として、4ピースバンドでスタートしたときから、今までに、何か変わったことはありますか？
	We definitely grew the most when we finally debuted, meaning we left our hometown Okinawa and we hit the music scene all throughout Japan. The level was definitely a lot different-from local to national level. Also, it was a little different because we had another 4th member in our band originally… 一番変わったのは、やっぱり故郷の沖縄を出て、メジャーデビューしたときですね。地方とはレベルが全然違ってて。元々は、4人目のメンバーがいたんですけど、ちょっと違うのかなって…
	What was your greatest surprises and disappointments as a band? バンドをやっていて、驚いたことや、辛かったことはありますか？
	Individually,for me (Aimi), when we record the album, the process of recording, such as the procedures and every little detail is what I find personally challenging. It is a fun process, but at the same time, it can be exhausting and difficult at times to do. 個人的には (AIMI)、アルバムのレコーディングをする時に、録音する手順とか段取りとか、そういう細かい部分が挑戦だと思います。面白いんですけど、ものすごく疲れるし、大変ですね。 For me (Nohana), it is when we play live, and we have to worry about the issue of sound and playback. Each venue has a different sound and it is hard to adjust to them. 私にとっては (NOHANA)、音響について気を遣わないといけないので、ライブ演奏するときですね。会場によって音が変わってしまうから、それに合わせないといけないので。
	From those early years there are a few songs that have never officially been released. Will we ever see a release of Sayonara no Kisetsu, or Super Girl? 初期の作品で、公式にはリリースされてない曲がありますよね？「さよならの季節」とか「スーパーガール」これらをリリースする予定はありますか？
	Hmmm. I don’t really think so, but at the live concerts, we do play them from time to time, so if you are lucky, you might hear them then！うーん。それはないですね。でも、ライブでやるときもあるので、運が良ければそこで聴けると思います！
	Your early singles included acoustic versions. Do you like recording acoustic version of your songs, and is it possible to see future acoustic versions released? 初期のシングルにはアコースティックバージョンがありますね。アコースティックバージョンを作るのは好きですか？新しい曲でアコースティックバージョンをリリースする予定はありますか？
	There could be potentially, an album for an acoustic version, especially the song, Arigatou, because it is very mellow. あると思います。アコースティックバージョンのアルバムとか。”ありがとう” とか、しっとりした曲だからいいでしょうね。
	The earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11 has impacted people across the world. How has these tragic events impacted each of you? 3月11日に起こった大震災と津波には、世界中がとても驚きました。ステレオポニーの皆さんはどうでしたか？
	We were in the middle of a live rehearsal and we played in the Tohoku region a few days before.. We saw on the TV later the aftereffects of the earthquake. We were not able to do anything, it was so frustrating and we felt helpless. But things slowly became better, and we were able to go on tour and put up boxes for donations to do our part to help out as much as possible. ちょうどライブのリハーサル中で、何日か前に東北で演奏してたし… 余震が止まってからテレビで見ました。何もできなくて、何もできない自分たちが悔しかったです。でも、少しずつ回復してきてて、ツアーをすることもできました。できるだけのことはしたいと思って、募金箱を作ったりして。
	Do you have any nick-names for each other? お互いにニックネームを付けたりしてますか？
	(Nohana) Hmmm. There really aren’t that come to mind. There is “Happy” but that is about it. (NOHANA) うーん。ちょっと思い当たらないですね。”ハッピー” とか言ったりしますけど、ニックネームじゃないですね。
	What equipment and effects do you each use? どんな機材を使ってますか？
	(Aimi) I use the Fender and telecaster that I used since high school. It really depends on the show that I am playing. (AIMI) 私は高校のときからずっとフェンダーのテレキャスターを使ってます。ライブによりますけど。 (Nohana) I use the Black and Gold Fender and I have been using since the debut (NOHANA) デビューの時からずっと、黒とゴールドのフェンダーを使ってます。 (Shiho) The snares, and the pedals are all pearl. (SHIHO) スネアもペダルも、全部パールを使ってます。
	Some of our members try to contact you on twitter and other social networking sites…are you able to understand the messages that they send through translation software? 私たちのメンバーのうち何人かは、ツイッターとかの SNS に翻訳ソフトを使ってメッセージを送っていますが、意味は通じていますか？
	We always see them, and we get comments on our website, and we think they are cute, and we may not always understand them, but we try to reply as much as we can to do our best. いただいたコメントはちゃんと見てますよ。かわいいと思いますね。よく分からないときでも、できるだけリプするようにしてます。
	Have you heard YUI’s version of I Do It, and what are your thoughts on her rendition? YUIバージョンの “I do it” は聞きましたか？ YUI のアレンジはどうでしたか？
	Yes, yes, we have heard it, of course. It is very cool! We were able to see it live in concert. We really loved it! はい！もちろん聴きました。かっこよかったです！ライブで生で聴けたんですよ。すごい良かった！
	Thank you so much for sharing some of your time with me and answering questions for us. Would you say a final message for our members and your fans around the world? 時間を割いていただいて、インタビューにも答えていただいて、ありがとうございました。最後に、私たちのメンバーをはじめ、世界中のファンにメッセージをお願いします。
	We as Stereopony are amazed and cannot believe at how many people not only enjoy our music, but the fans we have overseas. Its like a dream to us. That’s why Stereopony isn’t composed of 3 people, but rather everyone. We are going to do our best to make more music, and play live shows for our fans, and especially, if there is a chance, we would love to come back and play overseas. 私たちステレオポニーは、私たちの曲を楽しんでくれるファンが、海外にまでたくさんいるのに驚いているし、信じられなくて、まるで夢みたいです。3人だけじゃなくて、みんなもステレオポニーです。みんなのために、もっとたくさんいい曲が作れるように頑張りたいし、ライブもやっていきたいです。できれば、ぜひ海外でもまたライブをやりたいです。
